Does it possible to use (programming and debugging) CUI32Stem with MPLAB X? Did I need PICkit3?
I have trying to find new (for me) microcontroller instead of AVR. I need microcontroller with C compiler, 5V tolerant I/O and not less 128K SRAM. And I have trying to get cheap board.
I just bought CUI32Stem for $30 and I can't use it without PICkit3 (more $35).
May be ($15) include ST-Link/v2 onboard is better for me?
CUI32Stem could be setup to use MPLABX by writing a proper linker script that allows the use of its bootloader.... or you could borrow someone else's PICKit3 and use it once to put Microchip's HID bootloader (available in their MAL, Microchip Application Libraries) on the board, then you wouldn't need to buy a PICKit ever yourself.
