Hi All,

SparkFun is getting closer to being ready to sell the CUI32 now - I can't specify an exact date though!

I have created a Main Page for the board on this website - just click the link CUI32 above next to FORUM.
Also, the FORUM is where we should keep any questions, discussions, etc... that way the overall blog is reserved for higher priority messages.

Currently, the plan is to ship the CUI32 with "StickOS" installed as the default firmware - this is an full operating system (!) created by Rich Testardi with a BASIC compiler, line editor, debugger, profiler, and simple file system to create new firmware programs, and run them - all without installing anything on your host computer... All that is needed is a terminal emulator (Hyperterminal on windows, the "screen" command in the OS X terminal). StickOS looks very elegant both for beginners, and as a quick prototyping environment for advanced users - see a couple of examples here:

Of course, the CUI32 will ship with a bootloader as well - so StickOS is not the only thing it can run! All of Microchip's own examples from their USB framework can of course be compiled for the CUI32 as well. While these tend to be somewhat complex, the FORUM here aims to be a central resource for sharing examples that are compiled specifically for the CUI32. Let's get this community to thrive! :-)
